Dr. Kennedy is trained in all aspects of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has a special interest in breast enhancement and abdominal body contouring following weight loss or pregnancy.  He also performs surgical procedures to correct facial and breast deformities following cancer or traumatic injuries.

A native of Alexander City, Alabama, Dr. Kennedy received his medical degree from The University of Alabama School of Medicinefollowing graduation from Auburn University.After completing a residency in General Surgery at The University of Alabama in Birmingham and a Plastic Surgery residency at the University of Tennessee School of Medicine-Chattanooga Unit, Dr. Kennedy completed another residency in Microvascular and Reconstructive Surgery at The University of Alabama in Birmingham.

Dr. Kennedy joined The Plastic Surgery Group, P.C. in Chattanooga in 1997 and is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  He is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Plastic Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine-Chattanooga Unit.  Dr. Kennedy also holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand.  He is Vice Chief of Staff at Erlanger Medical Center and previous Chief of Surgery.

Dr. Kennedy raises organic cattle on his farm in Chattanooga and enjoys spending time with his wife, Carrie, watching his younger daughter, Lydia, compete in equestrian competitions and his older daughter, Mary Davis, participate in tennis tournaments.
