The 2012 Be More Award Finalists
Serving Chattanooga, Tennessee
The third annual Be More Awards, an initiative started nationally by PBS stations and presented locally by WTCI-TV45, honors individuals and nonprofits for their excellence in helping the community reach its best potential. We are proud to announce that Dr. Mark Brzezienski's initiative is one of the three nominees in the Be More Knowledgeable-The Educational Outreach Award.
Dr. Brzezienski created the "Youth Leadership Forum in Medicine" while serving as the President of the Chattanooga/Hamilton County Medical Society approximately 7 years ago. The Forum is a yearly week-long seminar that mentors high school students who are interested in choosing Medicine as a career. He continues his participation in this program that has become a model for other medical societies as future physician shortages are anticipated.
The finalists will be recognized at a luncheon at the Chattanooga Convention Center on March 6th, 2012 that will feature one of Time magazine's "Most Influential People of 2011", Rebecca Eaton, who will deliver the keynote address.
